U.S. Attorney orders creation of list of 'domestic terrorists' and reward system

The U.S. Department of Justice has instructed the FBI to identify suspected 'domestic terrorists' and create a list of targets, as well as a cash reward system to incentivize Americans to report alleged anti-American activities, according to the Los Angeles Times. U.S. Attorney Pam Bondi instructed the FBI to identify 'domestic terrorists' who resort to violence or threaten it to promote political and social agendas that go against American, capitalist, or Christian values, according to a memo dated December 4th. The instruction comes after the creation of a new task force 'against domestic terrorism' and 'organized violence' ordered by President Donald Trump, with the aim of pursuing what he called 'criminal groups of radical leftists.' The text signed by the president after the death of ultra-conservative Charlie Kirk last September states that the current political violence is the result of 'sophisticated and organized campaigns of selective intimidation, radicalization, threats, and violence, which seek to silence dissenting voices, limit political activity, influence political decisions, and obstruct' the functioning of a democratic society. Trump's order instructs the Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF) and federal agencies such as the Department of Justice or the Department of the Treasury to dismantle funding networks that support these groups. Bondi's memo indicates that the problematic 'political and social agendas' could include 'opposition to immigration law and its enforcement, extreme opinions in favor of massive migration and open borders.' The Attorney General has also requested the development of a reward system to encourage the public to report suspects, but it makes no reference to white supremacy.
